Summary
Families need a way to manage the delivery of expected parcels. This calls for a solution that includes every family member to schedule delivery as suited to their schedules. Making sure no parcel delivery will ever be missed again as family members receive each other’s parcels at the perfect time. This solution includes designs for smartphones and smartwatches.

Functionalities

Set up an account

To identify the user, the user must set up an account.

Set up a group

To identify which users share the same address, the user must set up a group.

Claim parcel

To be confident that every parcel will be delivered at the perfect moment, at least one user in this group must claim responsibility.

Change delivery moment

The given delivery moment might not work for a household. Therefore the delivery moment can be changed.

Share updates

Users like to keep their housemates updated.

Debrief

First use

  • Setting up the group/family
  • Personalize the system: add the name (and perhaps other info?)

Normal use:

  • Assign and manage deliveries, maybe automatically, maybe manually.
  • Check where the delivery is/was
  • Contact the delivery service
  • Receiving alerts and react on those alerts
  • Add a note (should this be text, speech, emojis?) for the other family members about a certain delivery

Mobile context model

To get this project started, I have used the mobile context model. The mobile context model gave me as a designer an overview of tasks, devices, and activities of the users I am designing this app for.

Screenflow

I have made a screen flow to showcase the relation between screens.
